Question by Nisi: A scottish terrier attacked my italian greyhound, should I contact owners?
My 3 1/2 yr old Italian Greyhound got attacked by a loose dog today while on his leash in the backyard (we were out there as well). I had law enforcement over to view his bite marks and my dogs vet suggested I contact the owners of the dog. I didn’t get a direct comment on that from law enforcement. If I have the dogs owners number should I call them and tell them they need to pay for his medication? Or is that easier said then done?

Call them.

You won’t get anything if you don’t ask.

Give them the opportunity to do the right thing, then if they don’t you can take them to court.
