How would I train my four month old scottish terrier as a guard dog for the house?

Question by Kri: How would I train my four month old scottish terrier as a guard dog for the house?
i want him to guard the house, but be able to be a friendly dog when out on walks and at the dog park.
Like- I want him to guard his territory, but everywhere else, not be aggressive and act as he would at home.
